Early Head Start (EHS) & Head Start (HS) mental health service is designed to assist children in their emotional, cognitive and social development, toward an overall goal of social competence and school readiness.

The mental health consultant functions as a member of a team which includes parents, teachers/caregivers, family & social service workers, and home visitors to achieve the goals that are set for children in Early Head Start/Head Start program.

The role of the CLS Mental Health Consultant is critical to the social and emotional development of children in Early Head Start & Head Start.  As a consultant, you will be the main point of contact for all mental health deliverables listed in the Mental Health Scope of Services.
